Fragments of Amphibians

Karin underviste og faciliterende et kunstnerisk laboratorium med fokus på frøer og padder. Nedenfor beskrevet på engelsk:

An artistic research for classical instrumentalists and singers studying at the Danish National Academy of Music, Odense, Denmark, focusing on how amphibians (frogs and toads) are reacting to human influence on the environment. The artistic challenge was to explore how scientific facts about biodiversity and amphibians can be added a deeper emotional dimension, that makes the information personally more relevant to an audience, by integrating it in a music dramatic and performative narration.
Due to corona lockdown, the course was held online ending up with the students producing their own art video inspired by the work of Rachel Carson (Silent Spring), Antonio Vivaldi (The Spring Concert), Max Richter (Vivaldi decomposed) Brandon Ballangée (american artist and environmentalist), The IUCN Red List, and scientific facts about frogs and toads extinction.
